Hi, It's really amazing~ We plan to go there this year. How long have you stayed there and I heard March 22 is the best day to watch it. It shows up in the morning or evening on that day? Becus we need to go back to anchorage for flight. Thanks for your help

Hi, there is really no "best day" to watch the aurora. they are there generally almost everyday, but will be more active when there are major solar events like solar flares. however march is a good time as you get a good amount of night time. summer's night are too short and not dark enough for the aurora generally. that said, i was in fairbanks for 3 days and WIsemen for 4 days. but only 1 night where we get very little activity.. it just appears to be a light green bend in the sky that doesn't do anything... you can check out the aurora forecast from the website here. Good luck ! it is truly one of the MUST SEE BEFORE YOU DIE. the video here doesnt even do justice to seeing it in real life. when it starts dancing and changing colors in the sky... its so surreal .. it brings tears to your eyes.. www.gi.alaska.edu/AuroraForecast

Nice video except for the suddenly cameo of QZY. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if QZY was doing a timelapse dance. haha
