Most mind blowing thing about this is that its not a turbo engine boosted to a mm of its life....if anything the engine is less loaded & stressed than in a standard M5....so its going to last for ever, not just a couple of high speed runs.....btw the E30 has aged beautifully, its like the Lancia Delta HF Integrale....timeless cars

The white one that drove past at the end was a 335, but the car actually racing was an e92 M3. It has the M3 hood, mirrors, etc.

The V10 is from an E60 M5. The latest M3 has a V8, which is the M3 you see getting beat in this video. BMW has never used V6s, only Inline-6s.

@m5boarddotcom yeah it's not 1000 bhp, if it was running that kind of power the rear suspension would compress and the car would heavily squat unless it was running drag spec suspension spring rates... which I sincerely doubt. Also it's not wearing slicks so it would squirm heavily under that type of acceleration and you might even see the body twist slightly since it has no roll cage. Wiseguy.

I am very skeptical there is a V10 in there. It looks like the V10 Throttle body cover but if you count spark plugs, there are 4 on each side. So perhaps it seems to be just a V8. Plus you can listen to the exhaust note and it is not as deep as a V10 nor does it have a large enough exhaust for one.

take away all the pig's weight, anti-lock/esp bs, 20 air bags & sound insulation & now you got pure power, lots of noise & a driver's car. Unlike all of todays hi-perf cars that isolate the driver from the machine and road.

Nice. The E30 M3 looks standard from the outside and so will sneak up on all the fast cars....Which is what I would prefer, but would investigate having the V10 exhaust noise sound better! That said, you cant take away how good the car must be! Cool

@benbassface I use 17" x 8,5 with ET 19,5, with 330mm discs it is very tight, but now I have changed to M3 CSL discs 345x28mm and it is a lot of space now. Best regards Johan

Beautiful. I'm not a die hard fan of any brand, but i know a good car when i see it. This BMW is great! No fancy, stupid looking, infantile stickers and modifications to the body. Just the classic body of the M3 in pristine condition! And that engine just makes even better. You may even call it a sleeper. It's like the rally version of the Mercedes 190, such an outstanding classic.

at 2:28 you can see dual exhaust like the ones you find in a 335i the m3 has quad exhaust. (i dont get why there is a hump on the hood of the white bmw ?? is that supposed to trick people as a m3)
