Nice to see they finally got it up and running! I was denied a place to put my new mobile home in Hadley NY in 2001, because it was "too close" to the then disused rail track. So if I had to miss out on living in Hadley (I ended up in neighboring Lk Luzerne), I'm glad it was for a good reason.

It is truly an amazing operation they have up there. And let me tell you, they keep that BL2 pristine! They were washing it down every time it made it up to North Creek. It was an easy chase too, probably my most successful chase. The other BL2 in Honesdale, PA on the Storebridge Line also as the same 'honker'. I normally don't care for this particular horn, but it's what came with most of these BL2's. Anytime Ed Ellis from Iowa Pacific gets involved, they put together a nice RR.

Such a cool operation these guys have going, and they do it all in the Lightning Stripe scheme! You had some good light on that BL2 leading the return trip back, I swear that thing has the most unlikely horn I'd ever expect to hear emanating from a locomotive.

All gone now. In 2018, a small group of environmental activists worked with local and state politicians to shut it down. So Sad. Brings back great memories. Thanks for posting.
