Do you have to cut and modify anything

@@soflominiz3439 yes you have to cut the edge of the headlight bracket and the bracket that’s welded on the frame needs to be shorten to have the bumper access to bolt up

Can you do this to any 01-06 Tahoe? I got an 01 LT Tahoe and I'm trying to do this conversion but I don't know where to start.

Yeah you can do it to any Tahoe in that year even suburban. It’s not hard but you do need to know how to weld in order to weld the brackets 2 inches down so the bumper can fit to the grille

@@nicogarciaaa if you don’t know how to weld it might be better paying someone to do it for you so you won’t have that headache in trying to do the hd conversion. I’m pretty sure their shops around you that can do it. It’s not that hard

@@jmunoz1414 the hood should be straight bolt on. And it’s a 99-02 HD hood. Depending on your area it might be hard to find. All the ones I find are super pricey so I might go install headers and a exhaust instead of the hood lol

I normally check Facebook marketplace for parts or look at your local junkyard. Unless you go aftermarket they have stores that sell them

Yes in this video the hood isn’t tho. But the grille and bumper upper pad is from a hd2500

It’s aftermarket parts I bought from a part supplier called certifit. I Don’t know where you live but that place is in Arlington in the Dfw Texas

If I’m not mistaken I think I cut 2 inches off

@@moveit05 i can’t remember I think I measured 2 inches in the middle and cut the middle off and welded the top piece to the bottom. Pretty much removed the middle of the bracket to bring it down

They got Roll Pans Now that Don't Need Any Welding...But you do have to cut alil off the frame that hold the original bumper ..

Yeah you can just throw the HD hood on. It’s straight bolt on.
