Humunga Kowabunga: Three enclosed "speed slide" flumes that send riders downward five stories in seconds reaching speeds of 39 mph (Height Restriction: 48” or taller).
Storm Slides: Three body slides (Jib Jammer, Stern Burner and Rudder Buster) that send riders from a height of three stories down twisting, winding channels to a splash pool at the bottom.
Gang Plank Falls: Family raft ride featuring large four-person inner tubes.
Mayday Falls: Tube slide flume with winding "rough rapids" feel.
Keelhaul Falls: Tube slide flume with smoother ride, spiraling down - through a water fall and cave.
Forgotten Grotto: A cave walkway through Mt. Mayday

I know it's incredibly pricey, but depending on how many family members you have, after 4 or more days the park tickets start to go down significantly in price per day. Just a quick example, right now for one day a ticket's like $109. But if you stay 10 days it ends up only being $47 per day! Also if you go during the not-as-busy times, prices can be slightly cheaper. Value Disney resorts aren't incredibly expensive if you don't want luxuries, but even if you can't stay in a Disney hotel, ones close by aren't as pricey as the fancy hotels can get. It's something to think about! If all else fails, keep your chin up! Even if you don't get to see Disney World until you're older, you can most certainly still be a child at heart. I've seen adults that typically are responsible and quiet turn into the ultimate goofballs when they are in a Disney park riding the Mad Hatter Tea Cups lol. The magic never dies when you grow up unless you let it. :)

I was six years old when I went to Typhoon Lagoon on a holiday to Florida from the UK with my parents. 1991, the park had only been open a couple of years having opened in June 1989. Where HAS the time gone?? :(

That wave pool gives me nightmares but I STILL LOVE IT! Absoulutely one of my alltime favorite waterparks ever! I've gotten so many cuts and bruises from the wave but oh well! Thats the fun about it! And its always funny to see the littler kids running away from it screaming in terror whilest the older kids, teens, and adults are running towards it.. Bahaha.

True. You have to be out in the deeper water where the big wave lifts you up. If you're in the shallow water the white water can knock the snot outta you.

this looks so much more Immersive than Volcano Bay and it's decades older. Universal really chose a terrible spot to place Volcano Bay right next to the interstate and many other busy roads.

Juan Sabater, Volcano Bay focuses way more on the thrill aspect than scenery - so they have much larger slides, which are much more difficult to theme(costs lots more), and who knows why they made the slides bright colours.

Momma Bear so. there’s times where the big waves come. maybe every 5 minutes. when the big waves are done after like 1 hour the nonstop waves come . ! :)
