There was an announcement at their last upload description in Nico Nico Douga that they would not release seasonal compilations anymore (In KZbin they upload separate videos for each cover, however, in Nico Nico Douga they always release just one video containing all covers). Even though it doesn't mean that the project is completely dead, I saw some tweets from participants of the project that sounded like it was, in fact, the end (but, I was using machine translation, so, can't confirm if it was their intention or just bad translations). So yeah, I think it is unlikely that they will return, unfortunately (but, this has nothing to do with the world actual situation though!).
