I like how it's Sam that picks Tartt up and has his back when the other player lunges at him. It's a great subtle character development from Sam's earlier episodes.

Very few tropes hit me as hard and make me as weak as the one where the main group of characters start out collectively loathing one other character, only to end up running over themselves to protect that character from harm.

I love what they are doing with Jaime. It’s ok to be an asshole (sometimes), Ted lets players lean on strengths.

on the pitch, as a striker, you have to be an asshole. you're there to score, not to make friends. good teammates recognize and respect that. no reason to be an asshole in the locker room or in training though lol

@@baileygamez I’ve seen every episode 3 or 4 times each, and the two things aren’t mutually exclusive. Mentors often fit into a father-coded role while not actually replacing said father, and that’s definitely a facet to their relationship. However, their bond defies definition. Ta!

100% correct. I kinda saw Nate's small changes but his reaction and big twist in character at the end of season 2 was still a WTF moment on my first watch. But after rewatching it, you start seeing all the small subtle details they add in and it all makes sense!! Especially when the show is all about how small changes can lead to big impacts

Look I get it, but it wasn't a complete shoving, they were losing, It was Roy's idea what Jamie did, so it is natural that Ted will go to him. Didn't he hug Nate when Nate came up with the idea. I blame Nate's dad for this, he undermined Nate that he now always craves for attention n to b best n noticed. It was Never Ted's fault. He regarded him as equal.

I love how much Roy knows Jamie, and it’s purely because he understands the game and what it feels like to be on the pitch. You don’t know that pride until you are in their position. Roy is a football legend and Jamie is on his way to become one. I love football and football really is life for those guys.

I love the fact that both beard and Nate doubt Jamie for completely different reasons but they are both in character. Nate doubts him because he resents all that Jamie put him through and beard doubts him because it is an insane shot. On the other hand Roy, who has played with Jamie knows that he can do it.

Wondered why they were making Nate Shelley do those weird looks here and there this season. When they offer Higgins an office, this scene, and when Roy Kent first joins the team. They pan to him giving a weird look. After episode 7 released, I think we’re about to get a bigger plot line about it all.

1:36 Spoilers for the Ted Lasso Season 2 finale but damn, they really put foreshadowing in a blink and you miss it scene, where you have Nate going in for a hug and then Ted gently pushing him aside. There's a bit of heartbreak in those eyes as he's watching Ted cheer and hug Roy, and his eyes continue to follow Ted until he comes back next to Nate, where he doesn't embrace him or anything. These writers are EVIL. I love them so much.

Yeah, I'm a die hard and wasn't expecting it to be a fucking documentary. I got exactly what I wanted, which was a good light hearted comedy show half related to football. People complaining definitely didn't watch as much as they said they have, because they'd notice 5 seconds in that it isn't for them.
