You could tell she was super nervous (totally understandable like I couldn't even) But, overall, she was really great!! I mean it seems like yesterday she was singing Girl Party, look at her now! She's a star💜 And awee Maddie looked so proud!! Edit: they showed Maddie right after she sang. this video has so much unnecessary hate.... for all the people saying kenzie wasn't good u have to realise how nervous she was. she had never peformed on something as big as this TV show and she had never performed this song. so her voice was obvs quite shaky. second of all she is not used to singing songs like this. Sia actually wrote this song for kenz and kenz doesn't usually songs within this note range. and to all those saying kenzies career will be dead in the upcoming years are wrong. kenzie may not be totally incredible at singing but she has a passion which is what will get her to success. she is only going up and she is trying new things with her voice as she grows. she will soon be much more confident on stage and be able to sing to her full ability (in this clip u could see her being apprehensive and hesitant to hit the high notes which made her sometimes go off-key) I think kenz has a very bright future - her voice is only improving and she is an amazing stage presence. love her!!!

Yes ballroom is a different style of dancing but she is trained in that already!! Just last week summer Mckeen posted on her story a video of Maddie and Kenzie dancing ballroom. I’m a professional dancer and danced with a lot of those girls before. They are amazing dancers and I love them but the show is probably just having them on for views. Because Kenzie is a great dancer already! She should be a pro!!

Even if she was the judges hold dancers like her at a higher standard so more then likely they have higher expectations for her along with a different judging score most singer and actors have some kind of dance back ground. That's just more then likely judge her on a more technical scale to give other competitors a chance to make it some what fair.

Well, apparently she didn't have as much training on ballroom dancing only the more modern stuff. I don't know if those were 4 troupe dancers or if the were her dancers but at least the costumes were age appropriate. Nothing really low cut. Most were suitable for Sunday church services.

for those of you saying "she's too good of a dancer to be a contestant": they have people like this every year. look at lindsey stirling and heather morris. they had dance experience before the show. and even nastia liukin and shawn johnson. they did gymnastics and that has dance incorporated into it. also, ballroom is such a different style (it focuses on the partnering rather than the individual) and kenzie might not have been trained in that style. and those of you who think I'm wrong... I am a dancer of 13 years.

Abigaël Sévère right! theres no rule that says you have to have "x amount of dance training" to be on the show. heather morris was considered a professional dancer (probably more professional than kenzie's level) and she appeared on the show as a contestant a couple of seasons ago. also, the show doesn't solely rely on the dancing. the fans of the celebrities can vote and they combine judges scores and fan votes together to get a "superscore". that superscore is what determines who goes home and who stays.

yes, she was clearly nervous, we all could tell. i can completely understand why she would be. but because she was so nervous it made parts of singing really off key. everyone saying she did “AMAZING” aren’t doing her a favor to becoming a stronger singer. she has a long ways to go. i think she has a very talented voice, but it was being nationally shown on tv and it wasn’t her best performance. she gets seen by huge record deals based on bigger performances like these, not her instagram live singing. she needs to start taking real criticism more and not have people be brainwashed into thinking their idol is amazing at everything because they “love her.”
