I still have a couple of Nikon lenses left from when I had my D90. My big guns are Canons and I have a couple of Sony mirrorless, but... I kind of have a desire to find an inexpensive Nikon body for those few lenses. LOL. I like the swing out, pivoting screen as none of my cameras have the swing out. Only tilt. I really should just sell those two Nikon lenses, but I still wouldn't mind having a Nikon in the fold. I shot Nikon mostly, and some Canon, back in my film days. So yep. Someone still checking out the D5100 in 2021.

JoepieGames you cannot switch off auto focus sound. That sound is caused by inbuilt motor. You can avoid auto focus sound by attaching external mic.

@247.mp410 жыл бұрын
they're both similar. the only difference is that the deisplay of the 5100 is turnable and the 3200 has 24 mp. but for videos, its better to have a turnable display...no one needs 24 mp if youre not going to make movie posters
@HypeManReviews10 жыл бұрын
If your going more professional you should go with 3200, The D800 and 5D has no turnable lcd. Also 3200 has a lot sharper image if the scene's lit properly. And has a better dynamic range. oh and you cant use external mic with the 5100.
@247.mp410 жыл бұрын
***** ahhhmm.... i own a d5100 and no - you can use a external mic with the d5100.
@TheCohibaguy10 жыл бұрын
***** this is completely incorrect. D5100 is aimed at more advanced users and does have an external mic jack! An articulated screen is a great advantage for video and isnt included on high end full frame cameras because they are aimed at professional stills photographers.
