Yes, it has been known to catch a few every year. Clearance is low about 12 feet.

I understand & can see that happening, but it's not really going to effect the heavy beam, especially a downward movement, if it only has two beams across parallel with the rails, it needs another two inside them. I'm sure most bridges Bend a little, just that seems a little more noticeable. It wouldn't want to be on a high speed track.
