@apples2095 Originally they came out as SD45-2. You can always tell them apart by the way the grills at the back angle upwards. But after they get overhauld, they become SD45-2 (m)(r) and many other things. But when I saw yours,wow! Great shot!

Well done, steady video! Try to start video just before signals begin operation. I always like to see signal timing. 25 seconds is minimum. I prefer 6 seconds before gates begin to descend so that semi trailers do not get touched.

Great video the train go on & on & on & on & on & on & on & on &on & on & on & on OH LOOK ! those car drivers must grown stubble on their faces with time that train took to pass i suppose by USA freight trains that was a short train when we visited the USA we just pulled over next to the railroad crossing & had a picnic whilst this massive 15 diesel engined boxcar freight train passed we sat & had our picnic & waved to all of the hobo's sitting with their legs dangling from open box car doors.

That train is so slow, it's like they can hop on it where and whenever they want to!
@mibars10 жыл бұрын
Freight trains are usually slow, usually the faster train goes the more energy per distance it needs, so if time (or time related stuff like track occupation) is not an issue they run slow. BTW this rule applies to all means of transport, that's why cars burn more gas the faster they go :)

Why can't the local government build like a depression or an underpass so cars can drive under while the train passes by. To me it is a safety issue, many people especially from large cities don't really know what flashing red lights mean because they never encounter trains ins cities while on the car. Also someone is is impatient can do something stupid.
@mibars10 жыл бұрын
Underpass costs lots of money, overpass is a bit cheaper but still we are talking about millions of dollars. They take space (ascend/descend must not be to steep), require mechanical drainage and lightning (underpass), special care in winter due to tendency to freeze first (overpass). Level crossing are okay solution for less busy railroads with limited speeds like this one. You have automatic gate, flashing red lights and especially in US trains sounding freaking loud horn in long-long-short-long pattern. People from large cities must take same courses and pass same exam as those from rural counties, aren't they? (I have driving license from Europe) I guess that lights and rules to follow on railroad crossing are part of the lessons and theory exam.
@larrylitmanen987710 жыл бұрын
mibars Yes people have to pass the same exam, but most people take the test and forget it.

I think the reason why it's slow is because it's travelling in a curved section.
