The trick is to change both front and rear - loosen off all the mounts and stabilisers, take the swingarm off and virtually take the engine out of the frame will give you enough movement to change them all, The front mount is relatively easy compared to the rear one - even removing the swingarm is a breeze - but if the tube that goes through the lug on the rear of the motor is seized in then you have a real job on you hands. Harley changed the design on later models and you can retrofit the new version, but only if you can get the old one out ! I changed the front and rear mounts with nothing but simple tools and experience and fitted the Drag Spec replacements which hopefully will last longer than the softer H-D ones - and they ( all 4 - front and rear) were less than the price of just one H-D rubber !
