I use to watch HD and Husky during the beta of WoL. Helped me learn the game ahead of time and made it to Platinum when the game first launched. Mostly cause I copied all the awesome players you casted. Good times.

I thought I heard he went to become a poker player/commentator. Anyway he received a lot of harsh criticism back in the day. Its kinda sad. But yeah the days of early HOTS...ahh...to go back to these days. Before constant shaningans, huge zerg favored maps, 5 bases in 5 minutes, etc...HOTS was better I dont care what anyone says.

I read his brothers post on reddit. It's understandable that after so many years you slowly lose your fascination with one specific game. The criticism often directed at HD was bullcrap. I do not watch a cast to hear all the specific, always up to date meta knowledge, the numbers, statistics and game knowledge derived out of the pro player carrier of a caster. Thats so retarded I don't even know how to counter that. Except: maybe there really are many devotees that can only accept a caster who uploads free videos if he himself was a pro sc2 player once and thus knows all current pro builds and all the specific timings etc. For me, as a casual sc2 player it was enjoyable to hear HD because he had fun casting the games. His enthusiasm, charismatic voice and simply his vibe was what mattered to me. He was always good natured and enjoyed 'the show'. I do not give a shit about the actual game skills of a caster. Hd was a talented caster who was very entertaining. And casters have to entertain above anything else. And that he most definitely did. Good times with those casts. And good luck winning poker tournaments hd haha!

HD your casting is Great! but your camera and obs needs work. You scroll around too much and you shift and move the screen around too fast. It made me dizzy especially when you screen scroll around the protoss base. maybe you could use arrow keys with a low screen scroll speed when casting? just my thoughts

Because Zerg can't afford to play it that way. It takes a lot of money to maintain the Zerg army because each units dies fast, and generally will lose more units in any engagements. Plus static defense is of limited use against a Pro, and Zerg static defense is actually the weakest in the game and comes at the cost of workers. Moving is a pointless feature except in early game, since the time it takes to re-position is enough time for the hatchery to die in mid and late game. The only time static defense is worth making in large numbers is in the late game when securing an expansion becomes harder and you have a large number of workers to spend. Or to setup a line of defense, but to setup such a crawler grid requires several thousand resources to be anywhere close to effective and a surplus of drones.
