Thank you kindly for this great video. Very entertaining since I am a former employee of the TTC for 32.3 years. This brings back great memoirs for me. Again thank you kindly.

If the CLRV and the ALRV Retires I hope Halton County would take them (hopefully there is enough room in the Car Barn for them) I do NOT Intend to see them scrapped
@imgursdownvote4love7714 жыл бұрын
They got CLRVs 4003, 4010, 4039, and 4178, and ALRV 4204. 4178 arrived there today (Feburary 14), actually!
@william.i.herman7 жыл бұрын
I wonder if they'll buy a CLRV to start running when those get phased out.
@alexanderip10035 жыл бұрын
I Hope they Do complete with the ALRV

@@FelixAn Technically 4068 is there now as well, but it's just resting there before it goes to the Illinois Railway Museum for re-guaging, and eventually to the Seashore Trolley Museum

I was there many years agos, but I didn't get to see this place like you did. I specifically wanted to see the London &Port Stanley unit they had there. Since I'm actually from London, but all that electric railway London Ontario had was removed 20 years before I was born. LOL Very nice video!
@thebrantfordrailfan8 жыл бұрын
Thanks! There was also and electric railway in my town (brantford) called the Lake erie and northern railway. the LE&N ceased operations in the 50's but until recently the line was part of the burford spur and was run by CN. That is the line that was removed recently
@Trains4Fun8 жыл бұрын
TheBrantfordRailfan ok. was that a line that run west of clarence st at erie st. There is like the Dike trail and the SC johnson trail. Would that have been part of the LE & N
@thebrantfordrailfan8 жыл бұрын
The sc johnson trail was part of the LE&N line, the history of those lines and their fate is a complex one, so i will send you a PM about it instead of a long comment

3:57 that's cool that the sweeper car is operational! I don't think the sweeper cars at the IRYM are operational! 10:40 so what's the 2nd bell coming from? 15:04 that's odd that one button press only gives you one clang from the teardrop bell! 15:20 has the wigwag ever worked here? I might go to this museum someday!

1. The sweeper is rarely used for service. This was probably just a move from one yard to another. 2. The first Bell was a conductor's bell. The second was the "main" motorman bell 3. Yes it's interesting 4. Yes it works... Kinda, it works manually. So crew or orther personal would have to get out and turn it on. When a car goes through it. It doesn't trigger
