[HD] - TO THE RESCUE!!! Broken Down Amtrak Trains! (Southwest Chief Edition)

In tonight's video, we will visit various places in Southern California to catch some of the latest Amtrak trains that has arrived into Los Angeles hours and hours late! BNSF saves different trains on different dates, being up from 5 hours late to 15 hours late. Most of the trains in this video will include rare and uncommon leaders, including an ex ATSF SD40-2 far from it's home, a CREX ES44AC helping out a nearly 16 hour late Southwest Chief, and a BNSF helping out another BNSF that broke down while rescuing the Southwest Chief.

Nice vid! I recently rode the Chief. We were 6 hours late and we had a BNSF GEVO pulling us with a private dome car on the rear. Very nice ride with a very nice consist

Whoa! what a catch! Caught a Southwest Chief a month or so ago with a demo tier 4 unit on the point and that train was 12 hrs late!! Thanks for sharing and I also subbed as well!

Awesome catches, I caught a BNSF pulling an 8 hour late SW Chief with Amtrak 822! It was one of the coolest trains I've ever seen.

L I am Because they have to have enough tractive effort to accelerate and the lone locomotive also has to provide power to the coaches.
