Thanks for the video! I had watched many videos how to set a volume on the pedal, but then it didn't work. This reset helped me because I got 22 instead of 0, then I restarted the process I got 0. Now it's fine and works.

well I'd say if your pedal is Only going from 30-225, your definitely not getting the whole Span of the pedal. I'm not sure... After, Your returned to the Test Mode screen and the Pedal Cal item shows a “P” to indicated that the pedal calibration is complete, MAKE SURE THAT YOU Power your device off and back on again to start using it... If this doesn't work after 3 times of trying this you May want to Call Line 6 customer service at [phone]

Dana DeBoer I had the same problem, i pressed C again after mine would stop at 26 and it fixed the problem. went right down to 0 afterwards

Was having the same problem. My calibration was 28-255. I thought I needed to take the pedal off but what I did was spray CRC electronic lubricant underneath close to the shaft. It did the trick. It might need something to grease it up.

what does the wah sound like after calibrating, compared to factory setting? Can this wah pedal sound like Kirk's from MetallicA? referencing puppets, justice, and the black album. Any suggestions?

+B.C. Rich Pacificwest, it should be calibrated when its brand new (Factory Settings). I would do this right out of the box anyway But, Just after Heavy use it might get out of wack So, every once in a while you will want to Calibrate it to make sure your getting the full effect of the pedal.

My volume goes really loud in volume when I kick it in. And there is no adjustment for it with the knobs on screen. Will this calibration do anything to help that?

dcool2u2 sounds like you are "kicking it in" with the pedal pushed up too much. Back the pedal off, then try it.

Steve I didn't describe very well. I have a lead patch that I have added the volume and wah to the expression pedal. The volume boost I get is when I click the wah in. Its like 3x as loud.

I see, thanks for responding. Forgive me if this is a stupid question: I've seen a few people plug in the HD500x and they're able to play immediately without even mentioning calibration. (the default presets aren't great of course, but they're able to use all of the pedals normally). Could you go more in-depth into why doing this is important? Is this the only way to get the expression pedal to work?

Andrew 77 its Only important when u notice it not working right... If everything seems fine you do not need to do this. You do not need to do this regularly

+John Warith If you already tried to cycle the power and your still having the same issue, I would go to the line 6 web site and make sure your HD500 is updated with the newest updates. Then, Try it again and if your still having the same problem, Call the Line 6 Customer Support Center.

Tried this a few times now. First two steps are fine, but when it gets to step three (or C) and I rock it back and forth, it only goes down to 45 and back up to 255. Your one goes right down to zero. My expression pedal had decided not to work at all, which is why I am trying to reset it, make the damned thing work. I am fast reaching the point where I don't believe this thing is going to be stage worthy, because it has gone from one problem to the next every time i use it. Not even a month old, and this thing has crashed more times and a Windows operating system so far.
