Yes, you may remove any OCS components. In my estate many homeowners’ financials have improved since and they now want to do something different.. just know that you are removing things that you actually pay for…

If I book newly completed bto under the sbf scheme, am I eligible for ocs?

Under SBF, it will depends on the prev owner if they have opted for ocs or not. At SBF stage, chances are the construction is already underway and you no longer have the option anymore

Question, can you lay vinyl over the rough BTO floor for living room?

Yes you can. A layer of cement screeding will be needed to level out the rough surface…

@@richmondtan hi Richmond. Advise needed. Comparing the price of opting out OCS flooring VS floor screeding, is there a big difference? My understanding is that if you opted out the OCS flooring, you will need to do screeding for sure. Will it be expensive?

from what i heard, OCS flooring cost around 5k and the cost is factored into your overall bto price, so it means you dont have to pay upfront. Cement screeding for what I know cost around 2k? I dont have the exact quote from my ID who already tally up the cost of the flooring with the tiles...
