Because its sole primary function is PC gaming, all advertisements and marketing is targeted entirely at that. It just so happens to also work for consoles but it is designed, made and marketing for PCs.

$449 isn't a lot of money to me and the surround sound features are better than any other PC speakers OR headphones i've used. You are paying for the surround sound which is still a very niche market for PC. Pricey yes, but the fact they are sold out entirely in the EU/UK and very hard to get hold off proves their worth for a lot of consumers.

I own them and they are fantastic. The true 5.1 (which none of the other speakers offer btw) is worth it alone). Literally no review says they are overrated including this one so not sure where you got that from. $449 isn't a lot of money to me especially compared to a home theatre set tup which can set you back tens of thousands.
