Unfortunately, in January 2019 the CBI registered FIR against former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar, her husband Deepak Kochhar and Videocon group MD Venugopal Dhoot. So, obviously ICICI Bank, that time got a severe beating. Hence thuogh the tangent angle is sharper for ICICI, but it was more due to that previous incident. I wish to believe that HDFC merger will bring fruits to all of us, in due course.

The book value depends upon the performance of the bank. The price of the share is decided in the market by the punters. Price to book value is the premium the investors are willing to pay. If you have compared the book values over the say three year period of these three banks in a tabular graphics it would have been better. It is a shame on Kotak Mahindra Bank to receive structures and embargo from Central Bank of the country. I have personal experience of worst on line, off line banking with Kotak Mahindra Bank. Mind you I have as many as four private sector banks and equal number of PSBs. I conclude by saying that I am a fan of Equity master. Keep it up
