Also, for how long can we keep the money in this card (USD)? If USD curreency price appreciates, is it considered as capital gain (STCG or LTCG)?

Hi, I'm travelling to Thailand from India. Please help me decide between the regalia forex plus card and the multicurrency platinum forexplus chip card. Doesnt the multicurrency card make more sense since atm withdrawal fees is 63 baht as compared to 4 dollars on the regalia? Also isn't it better since I can directly add thai bhat to instead of first buying in dollars and then having it converted to thai bhat which seems to be the case in the regalia card.

The HDFC Regalia ForexPlus card has zero cross currency conversion charges. However, the exchange rate for the first leg of Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) is decided by the merchant and communicated to the cardholder at the time of transaction. The second leg of DCC conversion from the cardholder's chosen currency to the currency available on the card will attract cross currency transaction charges.
