I sound like my father, but I honestly and sincerely feel sorry that the kids today will never experience that summer song that all the radio stations played back in the early 70’s. I remember working summer jobs and loved when the song “Grease” came on or “live and let die”. We didn’t have cell phones but feel like we were the last generation that can listen to a 50 year old song and remember what we were doing when it was playing, The music today is popular for a couple months and then it is onto the next song

I love the crocodile stunt so much I researched it a bit Ross Kananga was a crocodile farmer This is from Wikipedia: In 1972, whilst searching for a suitable location for the James Bond movie Live and Let Die, location scouts were intrigued by a sign which read, ‘Trespassers Will Be Eaten’. After meeting with Kananga they were convinced the Swamp Safari should be used as part of the fictional San Monique.[5] The charismatic Kananga inspired screenplay writer Tom Mankiewicz to name the film's villain Dr. Kananga.[6] In the movie he is played by Yaphet Kotto. Kananga suggested the stunt of Bond (played by Roger Moore) jumping on crocodiles, and was enlisted by the producers to perform it.[7] The scene required five takes to complete, including one in which the last crocodile snapped at Kananga's heel, tearing his trousers and causing him a number of injuries. One required 193 stitches. Kananga was paid $60,000 for his contribution.[6][8] During one scene of the movie Lucky Number Slevin the character named Kananga in Live and Let Die is mentioned.
@Mailed-Knight Жыл бұрын
So, they used real crocs?
@GreatDarkSpot Жыл бұрын
@@Mailed-Knight Yes, though they were chained to the bottom of the pond. But because Kananga had to do the stunt several times to get it perfect, they started to anticipate him which is why he got nipped on the last (and successful) attempt.

This is my favourite James Bond because of the bond girl if I'm honest
I just had an idea of watching all of James Bond movies all over again. Maybe this time including (and starting from) the new ones with Daniel Craig, because the last time I tried to see them, I kind of bounced off Casino Royale and never returned to the series again. Thinking back, I probably did it because of some kind of unconscious fear that my memories of watching classics like Live and Let Die and all of the films leading up to 90's titles will be somehow destroyed or profaned. It may sound silly to an outsider. But, to be honest, of all the childhood memories with my family, watching the "old" Bond movies with my sister, my two then-BFF cousins and their dad, is somewhere among those moments from my life which I now treasure the most. I remember we used to stay with them for a couple of weeks every summer, so we liked to spend our days together, sitting on the sofa, playing, eating ice cream or fresh fruits, and watching these movies. And my uncle, man, when he was younger, he was a little bit crazy about the whole franchise (he could recite some dialogue lines out of his head), maybe because he liked it so much when growing up, that he wanted to pass it on us? And the funniest thing is, that, despite the fact that he had four little girls at his house instead of a son or at least a nephew - it still *fucking* worked and he made us all maniacs xD Great video, insanely great song. And I decided to start my Bond marathon from the beginning, and not from 2006 reset, so, I guess, thanks for that? xD
