Mistake in the description: ZRH has 3 runways not 2
@ermWhaddaSigma4 күн бұрын
It only operates two parallel runways tho so he’s still right (34/16 and 32/14)
@TheAvFanatic4 күн бұрын
@@ermWhaddaSigmaHow is he right? Nowhere did he talk about parallel runways. Also those runways aren't parallel, or else they would be called 16L/34R and 16R/34L.
@ermWhaddaSigma4 күн бұрын
@@TheAvFanatic 1. Airports like Zurich run a parallel runway operation, if you don’t know what that is search it up 2. The angle difference between 16/34 and 14/32 is quite small, and it’s VERY obvious that the purpose is to optimally run a parallel runway operation to maximize capacity. Even though they aren’t parallel, they’re run in a similar way. 3. The reason the runways aren’t parallel is not because they weren’t trying to do a parallel runway operation, it’s because there were noise restrictions in the flight paths so they had to angle one of the runways differently. 4. Even if I am wrong, take one look at how Zurich airport is run, and you’ll see that only 2 runways are ever used at a certain moment (even if it isn’t the two near-parallel ones, it’s rw14 and rw10), so you’re still wrong as 3 runways are never operational. 5. He doesn’t need to say about the parallel runways, because no one even checks the description for these minute details other than people like you who will attempt to criticize anything because they have nothing to do. Please do some research. And if I am wrong, reply with a little more respect or smth
@ermWhaddaSigma4 күн бұрын
Oh yeah adding onto my 3rd point, as suggested in my 4th point, runway 14/32 is angled slightly towards 10/28 so that if winds did favour rw10, they could have an alternate for large planes, otherwise they would only have 1 runway available. Still, this means that there is 2 runways operational, which the description says

@@ermWhaddaSigma Oh jeez, telling me I have nothing to do even though you spent all your time writing half the bible. Then telling me I belong to the people who will attempt to criticize anything even though I just corrected him and nothing else. You don't even know me to make such a wild assumption. Then telling me my reply was disrespectful even though I replied in a normal manner unlike you who got personal because of such nonsense reasons? Dude, please self reflect a bit. This is not normal behaviour.
