what about SOUND? you left that out totally! if your arc port is busy, hdmi doesnt transmit sound in that case. my matrix that i am returning woudl also block sound out from other ports of my tv. i had a 2 x 2 matrix . so not much help there . thx

@@MonteWeaverofficial so many of us use multiple monitors to watch sports. the video gets setup via the matrix pregame and stays that way all game long. But where is the sound going? The man-cavers want to keep the video static once it's setup, but move from one audio feed to the next seamlessly and constantly. It's possible with some AVRs, but it's a hornet's nest of wires. If the matrix can solve that, then explaining how would be super-helpful

You may want to consider options that have a web based platform as well where you could place the matrix switcher on your network and control with online without a remote control.

I am having issues with a splitter 1 projector works and the other doesn’t. However the port does work with a different device. Why would it do that? It is a ezcoo 1x2.

Sound was great for me! I am using a 4x2 matrix with 2 devices and 2 monitors but I'm not sure I bought the right thing. I want to have two monitors when using one device but they are mirrored, is this an idiot error or do I just need a different switcher? Thanks :)

Initial thoughts ... sounds like you may be using a SPLITTER rather than a swicher. I splitter takes one feed and splits it to the monitors, where as the SWITCHER also you both split and switch feeds.

If you want to display the same thing on each screen, you can use a splitter. If you want to have the added functionality to control each screen, go with the matrix switcher

Yes to the first question. For the second question, I don’t have a use for high frame rates so I don’t know. Best place to post that question would be with the manufacturer of the product you may be interested in.

Hello, I have a projector that does not support hdmi arc(viewsonic x2 4k) and I have a soundbar that supports hdmi arc. Can I connect the two to each other with HDMI matrix? (hdmi matrix device has hdmi arc output)

If I understand your question correctly, you are not able to display both laptop screens on the same monitor simultantelously.

If I understand what you want to do, I would say any traditional splitter. Something like a 1x4 splitter. 1 input and 4 outputs

Mr Weaver: If I use the HDMI Matrix switcher to power 3 monitors, is that straining my laptop in any way? Is my laptop (esssentially) generating 3 HDMI output video signals? If that is true, that is really putting a strain on the main laptop CPU - correct?

The Matrix switcher does NOT power the monitors. The HDMI matrix switcher is only sending and receiving the HDMI signal from the computer so it requires very little computer resoureces.

Hello. Hoping you can answer a question about this device. The Matrix has an audio output slot. Which means it doesnt transfer audio. So how would the audio be shared between different outputs? For example a sound bar from my tv vs my pc speakers?

This device is only a matrix screen switcher. Each screen can show the EXACT same input but if you're trying combine screens to show one image or picture you will need a video wall setup.

PCs are really all really preferences these days. I would check out Amazon ( amazon.com/shop/monteweaver ) and just find any PC in your budget that has the ports you need.

Hello sir, great video. Setting up my office/game setup currently and had a question that I’m sure you would know the answer too. For my outputs I have 2 Acer monitors, let’s call them out1 and out2. For my outputs I have a laptop, in1, an Xbox series s, in2, and a Roku, in3. Looking for a setup where I can switch between having in1 be an extended view through ou1 and out 2… A view where I can have in1 on out1 and in2 on out2.. A view with in1 and in3 A view with in2 and in3. I’m guessing the matrix will do the last 3 scenarios, but can it also do the extended desktop scenario? Also is getting a display port to hDmi cord worth it for my set up? Thank you!

On your ATEM mini pro are you coming out of the HDMI out for the USB out to the splitter? We are trying to run multiview in our sound booth and program view to our lobby screen and screen. I already have the two by one splitter you have in the video.
