Here is some constructive criticism for this short film. It seems for what it's worth, a lot of effort has been put into this film, with the director spending some time actually writing two plots; a main plot and a sub plot, (The Boys in the barbers, and the girls). Also, I liked the segue transitions from the sunsetting, and I really appreciated the aerial shot of Asmara, bravo for that. Now, for the criticism. Firstly, I didn't feel as if there was much music choice to the short film, it was the same, upbeat springy music throughout, and displayed the same emotion for the 21 minutes. If there was some more dramatic, and subtle choices of music, then that would have created a better environment for the film overall. Second criticism I must add is the 8 mid roll advertisements placed in the video. That is quite insulting to the audience; as it seems you are trying your hardest (the owner of the channel that is) to profit as much as you can from each viewer. I would suggest in future to maybe put one mid roll ad inside the video, at the point where there is most suspense; ironically of which there is none. Finally, my last criticism of this short film was the ending/ segue to the next episode. I didn't understand it, even as a native speaker of Tigrigna. There was no feeling of anger or eager excitement to the next episode. It was quite confusing to say the least. Hope you can improve next time as you have potential as a director (but not a plotwriter).
