Same range as DJI is high praise for HDZ.... and especially the recovery is awesome. So fast! DJI often stutters and blocks out for seconds until it recovers the feed correctly. For this kind of see and react flying the quality is also superb. This made me looking forward to my first HDZ build - got that new vtx just on my bench now!

Yeah the 540 60 is insane i can loop my house and get a few speckles. Im used to 1.8w analog transmitters and they go black & white and warp going around house.

I didn't notice overheating freestyle VTX. Whoop board or lite version is overheating quickly but freestyle VTX stay cold for really long time.

Love this thank you! There's definitely a place for this. But unfortunately I can't see where analog doesn't perform better in a professional scenerio. For this style of break-up, realistically you would run an analog repeater for the shot you want. DJI :minimal break-up max FPS lost , HDO/analog maximum breakup no fps loss. Really depends on what you're flying and if you're comfortable in that situation. In the situation that you described trying to power loop something I would absolutely prefer analog/HD0. But at the same time if I was experiencing that type of interference I would just call the shot and reposition myself or add a repeater.

Thnx for this video! This vtx will be in my next quad! (flying Vista's with DJI V1 goggles, so O3 is not an option since the goggles 2 and Integra is a no-go for me) The Freestyle V1 was a no-go because of the 30x30. BUT I think HDZero still needs to improve regarding range/penetration for freestyle flying. From the vids I seen it's still not good enough compared to DJI vista. Many people will still stay with DJI because of that. So I hope a company like Foxeer will give it a try now and make a VTX (20x20) Reaper 'HDZero' with 2.5W output power. 😉Foxeer: you won't regret....! 🙂

Is HD Zero that much better than Analog? Do you get better penetration? It can't be better latency than analog. Not seeing the point.... DJI and Walksnail won't provide the latency, but they do give you the penetration and range that the others can't. And of those, WalkSnail seems to be the better for openess and longevity of the standard to not force upgrades every year to stay current.

It's such a HDzero move sending out new hardware that's defective or with firmware that isn't fully working. Really makes them look bad.

100% 😂 But remember it’s literally a hobby project without a hardware OR software team. What do you expect 😜 I honestly really want to see a proper hardware design by an RF engineer. That, would be amazing! If TBS could help on a design, that, would blow my mind! Having said all this, I still run HDZero 60% of the time, so they are doing okay (MUCH room for improvement though). I have all 4 digital systems, and run analog occasionally too.

There has to be something wrong with that. At 1 watt 10 feet away from yourself you are getting significant video breakup? I can fly a hundred meters away from myself at 200mw on my hdzero quad with minimal breakup. I would never consider buying this version of the vtx if that is the real performance of it.

hdzero is sharp and you know when you're gonna lose signal. ive had miles of range before. its always very fast latency and always exactly 720p hd. walksnail whilst technically being 1080p is very often blurry and blocky and grass looks like one solid splat. you can see far less detail and scraggle with walksnail than hdzero

You realize I was one an early adopter of crossfire. Worked with Trappy and tbs to make it better. I had one of two original tango II prototypes. I’m well aware of how good crossfire is. It doesn’t compare to the performance of elrs today. It is a very user friendly product but doesn’t compete in terms of features and performance (packet rate/latency). It is still good but people need to quit treating fpv tech like a religion. Use what works best for you and move on. Quit telling everyone else they are wrong. Recognize that not everyone has the same needs and values as you. Thanks have a nice day.

HD means "high definition" 720p that is, "static" has nothing to do with that
