Very nice story overall. I don’t blame the FML for initially testing the MC considering all that happened. But like another commenter said if this accident didn’t occur the FML would never have given the MC a look.

Let's be real and honest here. If it wasn't for the accident, the MC wouldn't have had a chance. Many women are like this, they always choose the bad boy and give them all their good years but want to settle down with a good guy with who can give them security and stability when they are no longer at their best and becomes a leftover.

This indeed happened to with Jordan Peterson daughter Michaela. When she was down she had a good guy take care of her. After she got better with her health issues she broke up with him. The MC in this regard lucked out.
