It's not fair to Cinnabon to continue putting out food to feed other cats, even cats who already have a home come for the food. The food is put right at the door , in Cinnabon's territory, so this will never end and Cinnabon will end up injured. Lex refuses to stop.

@@MattST69 Some for sure have homes, like Bean and another cat, but what you suggest will still bring the animals, even wild ones, also it's already been established that Cinnabon will be the only cat, as you cannot force it. It's already been tried. So, unless lex wants to catch any stray cats and get them homes, not going to go well. Even people don't want someone in their space.

Cinnabon is protecting his territory and his hooman. At the end of the video you can tell Cinnabon is breathing a little bit harder and still looks somewhat agitated from his tail flicks. I think Cinnabon must be around 7 years old now, so in human years probably in his mid forties? But he will always be Lil baby Boo loved by all of us.😻💖

Thanks for mentioning a water squirt bottle. Haven't used one in years but that's a good deterrent in many cases. I'm iffy about putting your hands on them in the middle of a fight like this because you could get hurt if they're really going at it. Put on some gloves first if you intend to try that. I've had cats for many many years , Lex and they are all different in personalities just like humans. As to reasons for the fierce response, you're going to have to parse that out, like solving a mystery. My question is, is this an intact or uneutered male? Their sense of smell is very keen. It's also seasonal, I am sure of that.... it's spring and those hormones are percolating ! I hope this helps some.

From my experience, cats tend to attack more when the owner is there to protect them. One of mine even shouted for help as I got out of my car when he'd got himself in a tricky situation. It worked! The other cat realised he had back up and fled.

Hes not more aggressive than your average male cat who lives part time outdoors. Male cats will attack other male cats who enter their territory - if someone came into your house, and didn’t immediately leave, you would instinctively fight or flight.

Okay this was too scary!! I was so scared for Cinnabon’s safety I had to rush to the end of the video to see if he was okay. Don’t let that happen again if you can, Lex. For your information- Lex- he was trying to protect you. If not that, he thought you were coming to help and therefore he was emboldened. When the other cat was frightened of you - it only added fuel toCinnabon’s 🔥 and he chased the other cat. Best to stay away when two animals engage like that.

Our Fred would fight any other cat in his territory. If he stopped or was held in the house, he would pee in the house to mark that as his next boundary to his territory. Fred would actually chase dogs down the road to keep them away too, so it was a possessive thing and not a mating issue. In a way we think he was fighting to ensure no other competitor took us (my wife and I) away from him. He was from a shelter and probably never had it better than with us; I suspect Cinnabon feels the same! Alex.,

Lex you need to stop leaving food outside, you have made Cinnabon's territory a magnet for cats. Please stop it, he has clearly had enough of other cats invading his turf. I can see how stressed he is from this and other videos, especially when you keep him inside and force him to watch other cats through the glass, he obviously is stressed and feels powerless in those situations so it's little wonder he reacted this way. Cats are fiercely territorial and do not like other cats hanging around, they will 9 times out of 10 see that as a threat. PLEASE stop leaving food outside, it's such a bad idea. Your love for Cinnabon is very apparent but you're unfortunately making this happen (unintentionally I am sure) God bless x

Little Bon was making sure that cat doesn't come back. I have tons of outdoor cats around my neighborhood and I have never seen any of them fight but we did have a fox last week that some of the cats were fighting. It was so upsetting! All of them acting so wild and I just wanted them to stop.

Hope your ok Cinnabon unfortunately when we have cats that go outside it's always a possibility. Yes keep very close eye on him for bites or cuts. And Lex Cinnabon will protect you and his territory my cats have and do with me. Hi Alex and Bon🙏❤️😺. Sorry but I just can’t watch Bon fighting with cats or a cat and do harm to the cat too. Like a lot of people were saying and we are all definitely aware that Bon owns his territory too so, I don’t think this is unusual for him to act out like this. Also, he was once an all outside cat before he came to your home after he was left behind by his former owners and he had to have fought a lot of cats and other wild animals in your area. Look at what he did to that one bird and there were feathers all over the ground with either the dead bird or no bird at all. I do hope the cat he attacked or cats are alright and that they didn’t have rabies or some other kind of disease that Bon can get from them. Just curious, are you gonna take him to a vet to have him tested? God bless the both of you and it’s nice to see a video from you cause I was concerned about you both with all of the storms all over the US. God bless love and hugs to you and Bon always. Cats fight. They seldom hurt each other badly, even when the fur flies and there are scratches. Worst thing you usually see is a cat wound abscess. It's not great, but it's almost never something to worry about much. Cinnabon took it in stride, just a tussle. I'd be more worried about those ticks! - get him some flea and tick treatment if you haven't already!
