The kind of phenomenon you are talking about in the intro is known as the Roger Bannister Effect, due to the fact that after Roger Bannister ran a four minute mile, many of his competitors as did the same only days later, despite the fact that none of them had been close to it previously. My theory is that someone getting a wr in a major category just encourages their competitors to grind even harder than they were, as seen with the bursts of world records in the major categories. sure, but instead of applying random things you find, be sure to check up what it really means. it applies to a marathon as it's the mindset to finish it. whilst this can play a part, I believe that RNG is the single biggest factor that separates good runs from world records. whilst all good runs feature good movement, good strats, and well thought out decisions made on the fly (critical thinking and decision-making), RNG ultimately separates the top 3% or less of runs.

@@Adam-ev5ft I found this by accident in my single player world in 2020 as I had just thrown a pearl and my game started to lag so i reduced the render to 2 chunks. Then i realised that the pearl didnt land and when was game was a bit better, increased the chunks back to 13 and tped to the spot. I realised its potential back then and used it a lot. I dont think it was discovered yet, so if I had the smartness to make a yt video, i couldve been the founder of this strategy.
