the old log he was lifting should never have bent if it was made right, these loader are built way to light for what they can lift, witch is not much.. look at any other cross bar an it heavy square tubing, not a small round shaft that has little strength on it side, lot pushing strait down or pulling put nothing left or right.. junk

I bought a B2650 (same as the LX2610 sans R14 tires and badging) in 2017 with (all Land Pride attachments) BH77 backhoe, RTA tiller, box scraper, pallet forks and rear blade. Unit now has 410 hours. Absolutely fantastic tractor. Not sure how you did what you did but it happens. I recently bent my front end loader after working with some very large logs (moving & loading onto a flat bed trailer). There is a fine line between using the tractor to its limits and going over it. It was my fault. Thankfully I have KTAC insurance. Easy phone call to explain what I did. They sent an inspection request to my dealer who told KTAC what was needed to fix it. Some $2500 later everything was fixed with new parts and all I paid was a $250 deductible ... well, I guess I also had already paid for the KTAC policy. Anyway, I'd highly encourage KTAC once your warranty is over. Plus, KTAC covers my tractor off my property while my homeowners insurance does/would not.

Hey brother, from one Sip to another - it's not a big deal. It sucks, but it is repairable. Just remember that you need to lift both skid steer arms at the same time for your implement to "seat" in place. Then after lowering the arms, look down below to make sure that both pins engaged into the saddle. Bad things happen when this isn't done. Enjoyed video.

Except for the dealer its just a simple removal and replacement of the SSQA adapter, they're not going to waste time cutting, straightening and rewelding that mess, they simply replace the SSQA adapter. With KTAC its a $250 customer learning experience. Love KTAC, they fix or replace things that idiots like me break. A $250 deductible is all you end up paying for stuff like this. Very cheap insurance considering the cost of a tractor.

When I purchased my tractor the salesman handed me a shovel and said that I will use it more now than I have ever in my collective past.... He was correct. And then he let me know the other words of wisdom. You are going to get it stuck. You are going to break it, And you will get a flat tire. If will hurt you. You will hit something you didn't plan to, You will do stuff you never would have tried to accomplish by hand. It will be too big and too small at times. Do not let it run out of diesel the first time you do will not be the last. Oh and most importantly have fun.

Along as the paddles themselves are not bent, just cycle the curl up and down a few times. They should just line right back up. If the paddles do get bent, a tree and low limbs can actually help you out. Also, when you hook these attachments up with the QA, open both latches at once so the attachment falls down square on the mount before clamping the lever(s) down. This will prevent any bending/binding stress. And definitely don't be afraid to slap a little grease on the sliders. : )

It most likely would not have the top limit hydraulic pressure to overcome the force that the torque tube he bent is pushing back with. Now he could take 5 min and cut the torque tube and most likely do what you say, and then after both cylinders are out, reweld the tube and whala! easy cheap fix..

Just push against a tree with the over extended cylinder side at full extension and again at fully retracted. You should be able to get it back on the same plane to be able to hook attachments on. That cross bar is definitely not strong enough though. My tractor has a 2.5" square tube between the two sides and I have done the same thing many times over my 19 years with my tractor and never had that issue. Sometimes it's hard to get them lined up since the rear tires need to be on the same plane as the attachment when you are hooking up. Always lift up and double check engagement before locking down the pins. Good luck!
@scubasteve7946
@scubasteve7946 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Just push the left hand side against a tree, and curl forward until they're pretty even again. The tube that bent is just to keep them aligned until an implement is attached. Then the strength is from the bucket etc.

I would call that a minor repair. Plasma Cutter, Grinder, the bar stock or pipe to replace the old one and bleeding out the hydraulics to sync them back up and weld in the new piece. 3-5 hours, depending on the paint. Haha. Enjoyed the video!

No sometimes the easiest fix can work best try using a larger tree and press on the forward one it worked once on both of my machines see the cylinders are linked in series and pressing on one will extend the other
@waynejones5239
@waynejones5239 2 жыл бұрын
Wes is right
@courtneyanderson2293
@courtneyanderson2293 2 жыл бұрын
There is no syncing of hydraulics here, just curl the bucket for an extra 2 seconds and both cylinders will be fully extended/retracted. My 2 John Deere loaders that bar is simply bolted in place as all it does is keep spacing between the arms, it is too light duty to be anything but a spacer. My 4 series pipe is the same size as this 2 series one he has. Best to push against something to straighten as Wes has stated, curling to adjust can create a flying object really fast.
@HeirloomFarmstead
@HeirloomFarmstead 2 жыл бұрын
@@wesbrackmanthercenthusiast4695 To each their own. I weld for a living, so, for me, the easiest way (the way my brain is wired) is how I explained it. If I did that poorly, then that’s my fault. I still believe the stabilizing brace (pipe/barstock) will have to be re-welded because of the crack.
@HeirloomFarmstead
@HeirloomFarmstead 2 жыл бұрын
@@courtneyanderson2293 I would still consider that to be “syncing” the hydraulics. And that bar serves a structural function as well. Transferring torque forces to the end of both arms. Sorry if I didn’t explain that too well. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter what we think, it will get fixed however they decide to fix it.

With insurance, the simple fix is to replace the entire attachment plate. Cutting the bent piece off, realigning the two planes and welding the cross bar is going to involve cutting, bending and welding, which can happen again. Hopefully the lift cylinder piston rod isn't bent, otherwise the piston should also be replaced on a 2 hour old loader tractor. Once you've got Kenny (Miranda) back again, the handles that lock the attachment to the loader frame, paint a line to indicate this point is the locked line. This type of accident happens frequently. What doesn't happen frequently is having that moment on video. A nylon lifting strap used as a choker on the T-post and rebar will pull them out if you raise them straight out of the ground. Otherwise a high lift 4X4 jack works good.
@wildbill23c
@wildbill23c Жыл бұрын
Just because the locking handles are down doesn't mean those pins engaged the lower slots in the attachment, you always have to check that the pins engaged in the slots on the attachment, regardless where those locking handles are pushed down to, those pins must seat into the slots in the attachment otherwise, well you see in the video what happens when they don't.

Its a Skid Steer Quick Attach (SSQA), 2 levers one on each side of the loader to install/remove attachments on the loader...this allows you to in theory use any attachment you can use on a skid steer on a tractor that is also equipped with the SSQA...course within the working limits of the tractor's loader....Its really nice very versatile feature, but if used improperly it can create some serious damage, as was shown in this video. Once you tweak those SSQA mounts, you are in for some $$$$ in repairs. Don't happen often, but it does happen. Just have to always make sure you check that the lower pins go through the slots/holes in the attachment you are connecting before you start using that attachment....luckily for this guy it didn't come off while he had the forks way up in the air and end up wearing the pallet forks and that log.

Mike I drove my first tractor at 5 yrs. Old but I have never seen that happen before! I’m 68 now!!! Here are a few things that may help!!! A diesel generates its greatest power at idle so always use the lowest rpm setting possible!! Always double and triple check every attachment hook up! Low rpm and slow steady movements are your friends with a tractor or any equipment!! If a tractor is jerking or jumping,,, the power level is too high!!! This next one has helped more times than I can count,,,,, If you ever get off of a tractor or piece of equipment for any reason,,, always walk all the way around and do a visual before you get back on!!!! Look at wheels, connectors, fuel lines and carburetor, radiator and feel heat coming off of engine! A tractor will always suck grass and weeds and leaves on to radiator and cause it to over heat!!! Watch this closely!! Just a suggestion,,, this has helped me prevent problems!!!

diesel equipment is made to run at wide open throttle and run on the governor when working them, i cant tell you how many pumps i have replaced in my life and re-seal cylinders from over heated oil an oik staved pumps from people running them underload at low RPM. AND MOST WARANTIES WILL NOT COVER FOR THIS DAMAGE, many customers you cant tell them anything, then they are mad when warranty dont cover abuse and they have to put out 8 to 10k for a new pump. the loader arms and hook up on these tractors are junk, they are made so lifht for the high presser they put out, i have seem mant loader arms totally twisted, simply because they are built so light, one should never have to worry what they are lifting, that is what relief valves are for

Hey nice job picking fruit off trees. Is fun but not good done it myself no blame from me. Have a thought for you and me . Get a pallet add a solid railing around it and on one side make a latching gait . For in and out.Than use it with the forks. Put a clamp on both forks for keeping it from sliding off.I love it works good for me.I love your style and work efforts.I allway wish you all the best have a great day.

I liked the "don't buy a Kubota" statement. The round pipe between the two arms will only keep them apart, seems to me that a angle iron type bar would work better. But, what the hell do I know. Keep having fun guys.

A lot of the other channels show a similar occurrence. Glad no one was hurt. Those quick attachments are great but they need a way to make certain they are locked in and secure. Hey, a good implement augmentation for someone to sell.
@wildbill23c
@wildbill23c Жыл бұрын
The way you know they are locked is if you pay attention and look and see that the pins engaged in the slots in the attachment, its extremely easy to tell, people get complacent like everything else they do and plain don't pay attention, and pretty soon you are dropping your attachments in places you don't want them to be HAHA!!

I mean the tractor not just the loader attachment. They were different. Maybe for good reason. But insurance replacement is better than nothing.

That young lady has some serious tractor operator skills. I was sure she was going to just drop that loader. I never never never stand on a loader without holding on with both hands crouching down. Learned that the hard way. Oh and that laugh after the forks fell off had way too much delight. That needs to be processed to understand why so much delight.

Saw that happening as soon as I saw the release levers were not properly disengaged when you were first hooking up. I did this recently with my grapple and it ended up falling in the the hay feeder hanging by the hydraulic lines. If I didn't have another tractor to lift it up so I could disengage the lines I don't know what I would of done. My rule of thumb now is to make sure handles are fully released, pickup implement or bucket and roll all the way back and then engage levers and visually make sure the pins go through the holes. Then, test it before moving.

That's how I do it as well, lift the attachment off the ground and curl back, then push the locking levers down, seats them properly every time. With the attachment on the ground, most times its not lined up with the bottom of the SSQA plate so there is a gap between the back of the attachment and the SSQA plate which allows the locking pins to pass by the slots in the attachment and not secure the attachment...course you quickly find that out when the attachment falls off like in the video HAHA!!!

You can fix that easily. You should be able to sync up your arms by hand. There will be a rod that helps connect each side together. But they still are connected to same input. The right side will respond first to hydraulic pressure

It’s pretty easy to not properly connect an attachment with the skid steer quick attach (SSQA). It’s best to have everything clean and to lift the levers fully up before connecting. Once connected lift the loader a little, curl the arms back a bit and everything should pop into place, then pull the levers down, checking the pin fully goes past the plate locking the attachment in. If it’s not right the pin might hit the plate and lift instead of locking down. Both pins should be inspected along with the loader’s plates seeing there is a solid connection that is locked in. It could have been worse. An attachment with a hydraulic connection like a 4 in 1 bucket or grapple could have fallen off or someone could be hurt when the load fell off. The tractor is not at fault as no loader is designed to carry stuff when pallet forks are not properly attached, hanging off one side and the forks fall off while carrying a load.
@wildbill23c
@wildbill23c Жыл бұрын
I do the same thing when swapping attachments on the loader...once I engage the top portion of the SSQA, I lift the attachment and curl it back, then lock the levers down and double check that the pins engaged the slots of the attachment...
