The main reason the hypnobri didn’t use the staff to cure the leader’s mind control is because 1: it was stolen for a majority of the time 2: skales (the new general) wanted to become the leader of the tribe and 3: they didn’t have much of a choice seeing as how most of the other hypnobri would probably lose in the slither pit against slithera (the old general)
