Brandon, you might want to get some hardware cloth and position it 1 foot down in the ground, around the perimeter of the coop, to keep raccoons from digging under. They'll dig under your wooden bottom easily, without some kind of screen barrier. The coop is going to be fantastic, when you get all finished. Thanks to Kevin for coming to help you. He's a real friend.

Browns farm shows on his chicken coop build how he put wire below the pens. Raccoons have some strong digging claws. They can squeeze into pens depending on wire size.

I’ve mentioned hardware cloth and how my daughter said a raccoon got its paws through wire, not the hardware cloth, anyway, it got its paws through the wire, got a chicken by the leg and got its tiny snout through the wire and was eating the chicken alive through the wire. Much as I like this family, unless it happens to one of his, it’s 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. So I’ve quit suggesting. 😢😢

Hello Brandon, and ( Stephany, and your 4 well mannered children). My wife and I watch all your videos and Stephanys channel, love them ! Just thought of something after you and Kevin made the 1st. Chicken Pen, could save time and material if you use the wall of the 1st. pen to be the 1st wall of the 2 nd pen. And so on.. connect them together. Build 6 pens, save material of 5 walls. Refigure how you do the tin. Fold over on 2 outside pens and lay a cut sheet down the seams where they connect together. It was just a thought but I would probably do if it was mine. Anyway, love the videos from Robin and Steven from East TNN!!!

you have a box blade if you had the land plane would give you more control for leveling also if you adjust your top link of the 3 point hitch give control on how much the box blade digs in when pushing dirt
