Welcome to Stan's world. Stan's of Maori (indigenous natives) descent from New Zealand. As I'm sure you'll no doubt find out as you dig deeper into his history and music he isn't too bad on the vocals winning Australian Idol 2009. He's had to overcome many challenges throughout his life including abuse and cancer which required the removal of his stomach forcing him to relearn how to breath and sing again. As you can see he not only achieved his goal but he came back stronger and more powerful than before surgery. He's extremely proud of his culture and showcases it whenever he gets the opportunity. While his catalogue is very diverse I usually like to recommend people discover Stan's music the same way most of us discovered him, from the beginning as a shy Maori boy of 18 yrs old at his Australian Idol audition to the globetrotting seasoned professional he is today. Take It Easy - Redemption and everything in-between. However his collaboration series with the Levites (Session band) and the Standard (Backing Vocalist) is highly recommended. Amazing Grace Don't Dream It's Over Circle of Life Medley New Light Bigger / TUA (Maori version) Inside Out He Kakano Ahau The One You Want ... and the Kanye West cover that has brought him notoriety in your part of the world Ultralight Beam ...which led to him being asked to write the seminal song for US Director Ava DuVernay's latest movie "Origin" an adaptation of the book "Caste: The Origins Of Our Discontents" by Isabel Wilkerson called "I Am". Thankyou for your reaction Stan has had many trials in his life. It was cathartic to see him do this. ❤️ His music always has meaning. He also has a live version of this as he does with most of his music. One of my favourites is his rendition of AMAZING GRACE/SURRENDER , NEW LIGHT, I AM THE COLOUR, I AM, CIRCLE OF LIFE … to name but a few. Take your pick! You wo t be disappointed.

His most famous cover is a kayne west song Ultra light beam, some other covers are, purple rain, the lion king, he is Maori born and breed in Australia but whakapapa back to New Zealand, been in a couple of movies, he's won Australia idol contest and also makes his own music, but 1 thing that's most touching about Stan is how he over came a type of cancer that's taken the life of alot of this family this is done in a documentary, so you have found a real singer here, sit back and enjoy this experience.....❤❤ ur reaction my bro
