The Chinese seem to believe in the Sunk Cost Fallacy in their personal lives along with their business lives. I know that there is a period of time that people need to be together to develop a sound relationship for marriage but 7 years is too long. My husband and I had a different set of circumstances and knew each other a total of 17 years before marriage but most of that we were not together in a romantic way. We were engaged for 3 years because the venue was booked out that far (Chicago).
