her name is sarah brown before converting to islam she was a christian, she was a missionary always involved in a born again evangelical christian church and an american woman or maybe a stubborn american muslim woman. According to him, Islam is the greatest reward, this is his story #mixmanuskrip I'm trying to think that's good that's good yeah maybe another question what message would you like perhaps American women or maybe American Muslim women who are converts to know about from your experience perhaps or if you could give them a message what message would you give them um before Islam I was Christian I was uh primarily Baptist um I was a missionary uh I was very involved in church very Evangelical Born Again di hard Christian um welcome this is a collection of inspirational stories from around the world please support like and comment on this video I hope you are blessed um my name is uh Sarah Brown uh I came to Islam uh it'll be five years this January um before Islam uh I was Christian I was uh primarily Baptist um I was a missionary uh I was very involved in church very Evangelical Born Again Die Hard Christian um and uh I mean I I didn't really have a I guess a bad life or anything before um your average Christian girl and then I came to Islam again almost 5 years ago and um after Islam I mean it's it's really changed my life in terms of how I live my life um in terms of its a complete lifestyle change you know not like it was too drastic from what I was doing before um it just uh the religion is really uh really part of my life now um and I'd say that reactions from people um since becoming Muslim uh like my family didn't really understand it um but I mean now they've come around a bit more um but people in general um are kind of confused by me since I am a white American but Muslim they always assume I'm from somewhere else or my parents are from somewhere else um but I mean people have been pretty good I mean of course theyve had nasty comments you know but you just have to let them roll off your back um but yeah otherwise um yeah it's been pretty good you know lots of people are really positive um lots of uh positive reinforcement um people are a lot of people I think are more open-minded um than I guess you know the news kind of likes to paint things you know there's a lot of you know Christians Jewish people you know of any faith you know who are very supportive of Muslims and you know just believe in you know people being able to prati practice their religion and never be criticized for it what was the number one thing that brought you to Islam I would say just the concept of one God that there wasn't anyone else I had to go through to get to God it was just God you know when I pray it's just me and him that's it and that I think was the most important thing and then of course also that it's a complete lifestyle thing what would you consider was your greatest Challenge and converting to Islam and also the greatest reward in now being a Muslim the challenge was probably more pressure from people that I knew um everyone's like oh you don't want to do that you know you don't know what that is you know what people do and you know the men in that religion they're horrible and it's like well okay you know separate the people from the religion and um but I mean coming to Islam uh i' say the best thing I would say everything that everyone said it was was just confirmed that it wasn't um you know that it is peaceful know that people are good you know who genuinely practice the religion you know they don't criticize people for how they live you know no one you know openly tells someone you're going to hell because you don't believe this um so yeah just that sort of concept that um I guess that I'm trying to think that's good yeah maybe another question is what message would you like perhaps American women or maybe American Muslim women who are converts to know about from your experience perhaps or if you could give them a message what message would you give them um just sound like Islam in general yeah Islam in general um you know just look into it for yourself you know if it's something that you're confused about that you don't know about you know maybe if you just completely are against it you know just stay open-minded you know I was open-minded even though I was told not to be um you know and I had to go against that and there's nothing wrong with that you know there's nothing saying that you are a bad Christian or you know whatever religion you're a part of it just means that you are willing to um to learn something new about something that you are completely unfamiliar with um you know just ask a Muslim.
