I respect him for his achievement and his hardwork, and i am no one to question someone's decision in life...but still why,...why did you waste a seat of IIT...if civil service was all you wanted to do. And it's not just for him but all those who follow these footprints

Because UPSC is unpredictable and he wants to have a safe backup, and if he deserves why should he not take admission in a top college? Graduation is different from UPSC. Even if you fail in UPSC, which is very likely seeing the success ratio of the exam. He will have a career in corporate bcs of his graduation, or maybe further get into IIM and do MBA.

Nothing he says is different from what everyone else with 400+ says so why the huge difference in marks? I had 410 in 2023 mains and I'd say and do the exact same. And you know that, you should've pointed that out, that's the least we expect from you. He doesn't know why he got 450, no one does Everyone with a decent 400+ score writes all of what he mentioned

He belongs to General Category and for that rank he will not get IAS. Once you get IAS as service you cannot re appear in this exam.
