Riding along this dark dusty road
We've been traveling for days, so far from home
I feel him move, beneath my skin
Entering in through Bethlehem's doors
The Inn is full so we'll rest on the stable floor
For the night. My thoughts rage on.
The time has come for this perfect lamb
To enter this world that he shaped with His hand

Now the same baby boy from that manger night
Who holds the world and brings dead to life
Was taken from me, far from my care
I watch my son crushed in agony
He is beaten and dragged to Calvary
As he's lifted high upon the tree
The sin of the world will now cover the King

As His Father turns His face
"My God don't forsake me"
The earth explodes
As its maker's blood drains dry
Love has slain the Son
Three long days did he lie in that grave
And Death cried out in victory
