Lemme defend aika even if she's not my fav First aika's reason for rejecting him so many times is that for her, love is a distraction to her goal and for her family, She focuses on her goal because her family is poor (The main reason she choosed the school because its tution free cause her mother can't afford a proper school). Second it is weird when theres a random boy who just appeared out of knowhere and starts to like you, stalk you, flirt with you, annoy you, being a creep, And being a pervert to you, If its actually real life sajo would have been in trouble, get charges and even a restraining order, So i don't blame her for being that to sajo. Third She's actually nice to sajo because of the sole reason that she still talks to him even after he stalks her, She was worried ehen he got sick, She was worried when a ball almost hits him, SHE THINKS OF HIM LITERALLY EVERYDAY, AND SHE LITERALLY APPEARED TO HE'S HOUSE Because she was genuinely worried that there was a problem that's happening to sajo, because sajo started to change his whole personality. Fourth, She didn't like him because of the attention from him(like many people accuse of), But she genuinely likes him for who he is, she missed the guy who made her not feel lonely, the boy who helped her how to socialize , the boy who actually gives her compliments, And the boy who makes her happy(ln), The only reason she realize that she likes him late is because she's not experience with romance and sajo's personality change made her realize more that he was important to her Last, She likes him very much, She thinks of him everyday, she was worried about sajo, She was very VERY guilty of doing that to sajo(manga, ln) , She ignores one of the most handsome boy in the school, she takes sajo's advices, She wanted sajo to be the first boy who plays and get treat like acolder brother by her little sister, She was very grateful for everything that sajo has done for her, AND SHE WAS ONLY JEALOUS TO GIRLS THAT SAJO INTERACTs WITH because She genuinely likes him (You wouldn't get jealous over someone when u just likes him because of the attention) jealousy is a sign in romance that symbolizes you actually likes the person and is scared to hell to lose that person to someone else. Aichi might have many red flags and flaws but i think some of them are justified, She is VERY guilty for the sole reason that she rejected him, And aichi actually gets a character development She gets more nicer, she realize her red flags and fixes it, She becomes clingy to sajo and she decided to be the one who confesses her feelings first. Bad grammar tho, I was rushing and english is a second languages

This is the kind of anime where many misjudge the characters. Sajo didn't become a chad, he stopped being a stalker. Didn't stop being a simp, though. Aika didn't become toxic/jelous/possesive. She wasn't seeking a relationship, though she already liked the guy. They both benefited when they grew apart. Sajo noticed he can do other things and met new people (mostly girls). Aika grew wide her circle of friends, and got a very well needed space to breath. In the end, Aika misses the boy she likes. She doesn't need a stalker that reminds her everyday he likes her, but a guy that she can relate to, that understands her, to give her that place she feels comfortable. She likes Sajo the dependable, not the creepy simp. I'll admit. There are more and far better girls than Aika in this anime. But, at the same time, they could find far better options than Sajo. To pair such waifu materials in such a simp would be a waste. At least he isn't Kazuya from Rental Girlfriend.

I don't think so. Hes one of the better options ironically. Also she still liked him even as a stalker (he wasn't though) but she was forced to admit her feelings regardless knowing she'd lose him to other girls. She realised she couldn't play hard to get anymore once she realised he wasn't gonna be a puppy dog for him. And he isn't a simp he's just madly in love with her, there's a difference. Jon Snow is a simp because Dany did so much shit but he still followed her. This guy was in love and wasn't a simp because she wasn't being terrible or doing shitty things that he would normally not abide by. A simp forgives all transgressions, a guy in love wouldn't.
