Berserk is an anime like older shows aimed at adult audiences, not like a lot of the kiddie or harem crap today. If you were to check out an anime, Berserk is one I am sure you guys would love. One of the most "metal" dark, fked up shows from the golden age of anime.

@@kyle21843 definitely read through the whole manga first (just go by volume, there's no funky timeline stuff) - it's by far the superior option. the 1997 anime adaptation of the golden age is pretty solid (with an *amazing* intro song) The movies are also decent, but if you want something covering more of the story theres the 2016 anime, which unfortunately doesn't have great animation. Overall the Manga's your best way to experience Berserk, it's fucking amazing. Gory as hell though so if you're squeamish...

Miura-Sensei (Mr. Miura) really is a master. He created a masterpiece that branches onto different forms of media. For example, the SoulsBorne Games got a lot of inspiration from Berserk. Sadly, his passing was untimely. But hey, we're here to celebrate his life and his creations. To Kyle, I'd say just give the Manga (basically the anime version of comics) a read. It'll be worth your time dude.

Berserk is probably the most metal anime/manga out there. Its dark and gritty af. Not for the faint of heart for sure. The visuals are from the latest adaptation. There's an older adaptation that is more traditionally animated.
