My pleasure!! It was so awesome watching you guys enjoy this album 😭 It made you emotional just like it makes me. The fact that you both immediately took to it is really cool.. For some reason both albums took a couple of listens for me to really get it and truly enjoy them. I'm sooo glad that I decided to circle back after a few years. I just wish I did that sooner so I could've enjoyed it with my husband. He passed away last September and absolutely loved Sampha and for whatever reason the music didn't click with me. Listening to "Process" is very bittersweet as a result, but both it and "Lahai" have been on repeat for months. A couple things to note, I fully believe you will return to the 1 or 2 songs that didn't quite click and love the shit out of them. "Kora Sings" took maybe 5/6 listens before I was like wait, this is the shit! Lol. Also, a kora is an absolutely lovely African string instrument which I believe is played throughout the song.

Our condolences to you and your family! 🙏🏽 Maybe the reason these albums have been on repeat for you is because he's telling you "I told you so" 😆 We're very honored to have you listening with us. You could be right about the two songs that were 50/50, definitely going to be replaying this album a few times to make sure we caught everything. Did not know that Kora is an instrument. Appreciate the knowledge. The concept of this album is incredible. Sampha is incredible. You're loved and appreciated! 🫶🏽 Always remember that!

@@TheNrwdds Thanks so much. And maybe that is exactly what he's doing! 🤣 I appreciate the new and fun way to think about it lol. Look up Toumani Diabaté's song "Cantelowes". It's a beautiful example of kora playing!

Thank you so much. 😊🙏🏾 I appreciate you giving it a listen. Yeah, it's been a hard road learning to just focus on my own progress and not compare myself to others, but it's been very beneficial for my mindset & growth as an artist. - BLAMMERZ
