The kid with the Lamelo seemed sketch lol, not trying to give a number and having a slab where the auto is graded but the card isn't are two major red flags in a deal. You did the right thing just saying no and not entertaining that! If he's trying to make money in this hobby he needs to work on his transparency especially in this market.

4:00 - I have to laugh at this guy trying to sell to you, and here's why. I walk into my shop with a price to sell to them, and I'm always LOW on the value of my stuff. ALWAYS. I always find the low comps, and expect 70% of the LOW comps. And they're my boys, and I buy a lot from them, and they give me 75-80 of average comps. BUT, you can't EXPECT that. Have to treat your dealer like you want to be treated and then, you get real ones. Love the video. Wish you were East Coast.

Thanks for watching. Most people are hobbyists and not business owners and that's great, so I get it. People sometimes get upset at the prices we pay but they don't hear the prices we get. It's very rare someone comes with prices at or under comps. People want 110-150%, and they can ask for whatever they want. But I will say that I now have about 40-50 people that sell to me consistently and I make sure to take care of them now and moving forward.

​@keane_ Yup, I do. My man had me over to look at his collection a few months back. Wall to Wall late 80s and early 90s. He thought he had a gold mine. Helped him sort out Jordan cards and found a few little gems. Sent his Jeter SP and Bo traded to PSA. Jeter got a 7, which is nice. Bo got a 9, and I had to explain its a 30-40 card. The rest? Trashcan.

First time I’ve seen your videos You seem like a good dude Frankly, I would never let someone come back after they turned down an offer They could’ve sold some of the cards in the lot before they came back . No? Thought you were very fair. Frankly, it seems in these videos, all these folks go around wanting almost 100% of comps, cash, and pay no fees, or taxes. How is the person behind the table supposed to make money? You have an extreme amount of patience. I’d get annoyed rather quickly and I just sell on eBay.

"How is the person behind the table suppose to make money?" - That's the 100 million dollar question and all fair points you bring up. OG is my friend so I trust him. I am getting the sense that a lot of people are getting out of touch with what's going on in the market. Like you, I sell online. On whatnot and eBay. I've sold 40k items in the past year, and what I say in the video is the truth-- "I'm not getting 100% on anything anymore." And regardless of what comps say, I have a strong sense what a card will really sell for. Now how much will be left after ebay takes their fee? after I pay my bookkeepers and CPA? Now how about the work that goes into listing, selling, waiting for the money, making sure I don't get scammed? -- If they want to keep the cards, that's fine by me. I'd prefer to be more selective with where I send my money now. I'm mostly here because I'm having fun. Thanks for your comment!

Other guy walks up wants 650 for those cards that he KNEW weren’t worth that (again, guess you’re not allowed to turn a profit after paying cash and taking all the risk on the cards).
