I think some people are a little too unforgiving and judgmental of Ying Qing. Recall that he and Qing Qing were friends for a little bit too. He needs someone to talk to and Qing still cares for him enough to hear him out. Also, if you watch the show, he did not choose this new girl he is complaining about. I think it is good that he and Qing can still talk to each other about life; it indicates they can talk about serious issues and that he trusts her to listen. Moreover, it is through his complaining that he realizes how much better Qing was compared to this new girl. I am proud of Qing for setting some boundaries there as she was leaving though :)

It was obvious he would miss her because he loved her but they had to turn him into a stupid fool complaining about his new girlfriend to her. Being raised with values is a good think but time is going to test them, some will bend and some will be broken to fit your new life. There is nothing wrong with believing that you should be a virgin until marriage and they could have shown him learn that his love for her was more important than his strict values, instead they turned him into a babbling fool.

This portrayal is more realistic though. Most people are just stumbling around while they're learning about themselves and life through new experiences and situations that they've never been in before. It's normal to be a fool and behave foolishly when he's in the stages of learning more about himself and how he feels about things, his solid principles are now in the process of being tested and changed. Nobody is born perfect or matured.

@@ionoobloo I have not watched the show, only clips but I believe they get back together by the end. Why would she want him after they made him like this, not only a fool but a rather horrible person? I find most Chinese drama's problematic because they make all or nearly all the character unlikeable. This show is about strong independent woman but all they did was give all the woman the worst characteristic of men. Then they made all the male characters weak or stupid in a way to make the women seem stronger.

Everyone has to grow at their own pace. It might cause some drama, hurt, and pain to people they really love. However, in the end if the one they hurt can forgive them and understand... if the damage is not too bad, then together the relationship is fruitful and blossom. People only know what they know through their parents, siblings if any, friends, other family members, and strangers. This if all the people that's helping them really know something. If not... they are left out of luck and have to seek God for help and learn from their individual experiences. Understand his character better from this clip. Basically, he was never taught how to make wise and clear decisions for himself. Everyone around him tells him what to do vs helping him to learn to figure out what he wants and what is important to him. He's like a child. He actually should have apologized to her right there, but he spoke truth... listening to all those folks around him, especially his mom... he's messed up and confused.
