The founder and lead singer of Tank was also involved in some early Punk groups, The Saints (one of the early Australian Punk bands) and The Damned. I personally find early Tank stuff to have a bit of a 70s punk flavour to it in the way the songs are structured. Algy Ward (founder, bassist and lead vocalist) passed away recently. His bass guitar has been gifted to Evo Evans of the band War Fare, another British heavy metal band worth checking out.

Check their song Just Something Like From Hell. It's funny that one of Polish metal bands called KAT (in English it means The Executioner) which for Polish metal music is like Black Sabbath for whole metal, basically take their song and made it as one of their most known songs from their debut albums in 1986, but not so many people know that is a plagiarism. They called it Devill's Child/ Noce Szatana on their debut albums in 1986 (ENG: Metal and Hell, PL: 666), morever in 2020 they rerecorded it with new lyrics and new vocalist(because with original named Roman Kostrzewski one of founder members, Piotr Luczyk, who is pain in the ass, parted ways in 2004 and were squabbled so much that he even throwing shit at him when Roman had cancer that killed him in 2022 and his family and friends made a charity concert to try save him) and called it literally Satan's Nights, which in Polish means Noce Szatana.
