By most accounts, CM Punk signed his contract 5 minutes before he walked out at Survivor Series. He basically signed his deal and he was walked straight to the Gorilla position The competitors in the match were told after the final bell so Seth's reaction was 100% genuine

According to HHH Punk Signed 15 minutes before the main event ended. Earlier in the day Punk and WWE were talking but no deal was in place until punk arrived to the arena during the main event. I actually think this clip shows what a good spouse is supposed to be. She validates Seth’s feelings while also being reasonable to the situation. She could have easily shut her husband down as being immature or being too emotional. But instead she hears what he’s feeling, validates it - while also trying to see the bigger situation. I see so many wives or husbands fail to understand this basic need in a relationship.

Seth felt like one of the top guys up until Punk returned. One of the few reasons he was so pissed. The fans love Punk more than Seth and he can't take it. But Punk returned to the wwe way too late. Late 2010s would have been ideal. But he's too old now and he's probably going to retire when he reaches 50 or maybe before that, if another injury or two occurs
