Actually in Hungary sometimes we even switch the names and call every kind of bagoly to Bubo! The reason of it that there is a cute tale for kids about “Dr. Bubo - the famous and wise veteriarian” :D :D when I see Bagoly in the videos it comes to my mind all the time. :D kzbin.info/www/bejne/fajHeWmYmL6qmpY Keep up the good work!

Brings back so many memories for me watching this video of first training my baby Eagle Owl (see profile pic, my owl Artemis or Arty for short!!). He is now around 3 years old and lives on my in-laws farm. Some advice Chandler (although you probably know anyway) get him used to you touching (and lifting) his feet, really helps in the future when having to check the pads of their feet without stressing them out and never accidentally fall asleep with them in the same room as I did once when he was about the same age as Bagoly is now... he woke me up with a start trying to grab my toes 😂

Bagoly is so beautiful!! 🦉 I’m really looking forward to watching his training journey. I had a friend many years ago that worked with Falcons and Eagles. I remember him putting “prey” on a machine that would drag it along on the ground, FAST, so the birds could fly in, take it down and then eat it. When they caught the “prey” he would go over to them and have them get on his glove and then feed them. It was fascinating and beautiful. They’re VERY fast in the air!!
