Go1 deserves major props for his endurance. JP to Guile to JP with so many long matches and going to the final game final round multiple times with zoner matchups that are already so draining with frequent burnouts yet still consistently landing lvl 2 reactions is so impressive. I think the back to back Guile into JP was just 30 minutes straight of GO1 fighting zoners.

I really love the way your videos are evolving and changing BrianF! You are starting to fill a niche that doesn't really exist with these like overviews of tournament matches and player interviews (podcast). I really enjoyed your SF5 content, and your SF6 content was kind of lacking to me for a while, but what you've been doing lately has been great! I can tell you are putting in a lot of effort into making better videos and evolving your channel and content. You're starting to become a pillar of the SF6 community, providing content to make the competitive fighting game scene seem much more legit, more similar to other Esports. Keep up the good work!

This was a really enjoyable video. Understood where the stakes were and kept me engaged. Perhaps this was to up the stakes a bit more, but you kept mentioning Kakeru playing with a nerfed JP. But they reverted a couple of the nerfs they made to him, and he is back to being one of the best characters again, which is why I suspect Kakeru went back to him.

@Brian_F16 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It's not intentional clickbait, kakeru qualified with JP and it's literally a quote from him that I mention in the video. I had 0 intentions of making you think the video is about me, the title is "He finally did it " not "I finally did it", and the quote in the thumbnail is in... quotes. I wouldn't be doing a video about myself playing Jp in the 3rd person with a made up quote to boot
@Lexicon86515 күн бұрын
@@Brian_F Oh yeah no don't worry, I def knew that the video was gonna be about Kakeru, it's just that the thumbnail and the quote on it in combination is just funny to me and that I couldn't help myself with making a reference to your JP. I will say though as someone who did get inspired by both your and Kakeru's JP plays back in S1, this resurgence of JP players coming back, between Kakeru and Bananaken, is very nice to see considering how it seemed like the JP playerbase at top competitive play has significantly dwindled

Why are you saying "GO-1 is playing [ spoiler ] " instead of "Chun-li' ? Is her name autodetected as a swearword by youtube or sthg?
@BrainGeniusEditor16 күн бұрын
"Playing spoiler" is a phrase that roughly means "competing when winning would cause more negatives for others than positives for yourself". It's very unlikely for GO1 to change his position in the regional finals, but because he has made it so far in the bracket, his performance influences who automatically qualifies for capcom cup. So Brian is saying GO1 is "playing spoiler" i.e. potentially spoiling somebody else's bracket run without seeing a benefit himself.
