i was thinking to do this when me and my family found an iPad from a mall (it also had no passcode) my parents thought the owner didn’t need it anymore because it was beside a garbage can and that time was when it was near Christmas, so the owner is probably looking and purchasing a new iPad? i even found the phone number on it from the owner.. i really wanted to return the iPad to the owner, but that was the time i had no phone. The iPad’s in good condition when we found it btw, and the owner was a family, just like us. We kept the iPad and it still works ever since the owner(s) bought it, November 2018.

You can do a reverse look up. You can Google somebody's phone number and you'll find their name, address and if they have a regular house phone number that information will pop up. Oh if the owner has any social media accounts that information should come up too.

The owner probably didn't have a PIN on her SIM. Another way to get the owner's info is do a reverse look up. Google the phone number and you can find the name and address of the owner.
