What a wonderful interview and a beautiful meditation at the end! I think it was a good thing that David's mother answered with, "We don't know if Jesus was real". This is what kept his heart open to seek. If she had said a difinitive, "He is real", it would have settled the matter in David's head and possibly kept him from settling the matter by personal experience. We have to seek, in order to find.

I think one of the main issues with people leaving the Church is they First Teach all the things we shouldn't do instead of what Jesus Teaches which is to Love our Brother and Sister Before Ourselves. Well it still circles back to the same thing of all the things we shouldn't do because we Love others if we Truly Love Jesus. That then Becomes our Nature. Church should show people How to be in a Relationship with Jesus and the Rest will Fall into Place.

And he mentions the verse about turning your cheek when you're struck but the intended meaning behind that is not to allow the person to strike your other cheek butt to turn and go the opposite direction of them so that way they cannot hit you again

God is with people by relationship not religion I had a few open eye visions and I asked an angel why couldn't everyone have visions etc.. and he said to protect people from the kingdom of darkness because there are many different demons and not everyone can deal with them.

I went to school to get a degree in biblical studies until I had a sweep take place at my camp and the city threw away everything including my whole van this made me want to change my degree to criminal justice but before I did I learned a lot while getting this degree in biblical studies and the church is so divided and what we see now is just a shell of what it was and how far the church has gotten away from the actual teachings of Christ it is insane to think and I'm sure Jesus would get pretty mad and go and flipping tables if you walked into any church that we have today

Im not sure if people were ignorant back then as much as terrified of the Old Testament murdering jealous sacrificial God. So jesus had a big hurdle. People were scared of all the other gods. There were many kingdoms and wars back then. The bible lays it all out. Gods against gods with us as the pawns. Jesus was trying to show that. But they were still scared.

I need to listen to this interview carefully but what I noticed about Jesus for me so far is that He never healed me nor anyone I prayed for in His name. I wondered if the Bible is a total fraud and if Jesus really existed or if he was all made up. I was constantly disappointed because He never responded nor intervened. This is not true Love when He treats His children so poorly.
