@Sports4life8988Ай бұрын
Agreed. Absolutely unacceptable to celebrate when a player is hurt. The health of players comes first before winning. Humbert fist pumping when Khachanov fell down was horrible to see. I think his loud extended grunting was also 100% intentional during the tournament to throw off his opponents. Humbert has never been an egregious grunter (look back as recently as Shanghai in his match against Monfils, no excessive grunting). But suddenly in Paris he excessively grunts right before his opponent returns the ball? It’s a bit sus. He lacks integrity and sportsmanship. He’s lost a lot of respect from players and fans
@ZyroSugarАй бұрын
Hugo’s a clown. The delayed extending grunting was beyond absurd and obnoxious. The way he treated an injured Karen was just icing on the cake.

Humbert's behaviour throughout the tournament was disgusting, appalling and disgraceful. I'm glad Zverev served him so comprehensively! It was weird as I've never seen Humbert behave like that before and I thought he was a good guy until Paris-Bercy. Maybe it was the jab!

Zheng and Humbert, along with the likes of Collins, give tennis a bad look. It is a sport with manners and these players have none.
@francisedward8713Ай бұрын
@Foudroyant20 They should. Without fans watching, there would be no money for them to earn in the first place. Like I said, tennis is a sport with manners. If you want to act a fool, go play literally ANY other sport. Tennis is unique in its sportsmanship and code of conduct.
@Maliilse75Ай бұрын
@@francisedward8713 I'm with you on that. Good sportsmanship is why I tune into tennis. All eyes are on you, you become a model to millions of fans -so being a decent human being would be nice. Plus, there is no point in making personal enemies out of other players, that's messed up. Players should be able to separate the two, like most do. I always support French players-I love their flair and elegant style. It’s beautiful to watch, especially compared to Sinner’s hard-hitting approach. But I’m no longer a fan of Ugo. His recent behavior has been disappointing: celebrating double faults against Alcaraz, taking a medical timeout just before Jordan was about to serve and gain momentum, and showing poor sportsmanship against Karen. That’s not on.
@philipcross8121Ай бұрын

@Saperlipopette777Ай бұрын
@philipcross8121Ай бұрын
It was weird. Humbert has never behaved like this before and I've watched him since he was a teenager. @TennisisreallyfunАй бұрын
Wait, he said “hit while the guy’s on the ground”. Is he also mad because Ugo finished the point as he tended to his ankle injury? What was he supposed to do, this is a competition after all and the final is at stake, and it’s not like he ripped the ball at him. I mean, say someone retires from a match with an injury, do you give up the title or your spot in the next round until you can have a rematch? Sorry but that’s not how this works, this is a competition. He didn’t even do anything wrong😂 He was just saying “yeah” and “come on” in front of his people, and roaring when he made an amazing winner which is totally normal behavior. Shelton, Alcaraz, Nadal, Djokovic, etc… I think every player in the history of the sport uses the crowd that’s on their side to get pumped up, and Ugo was honestly pretty tame. I didn’t see him cheering Karen’s errors often or anything like that, just his own winners or, if Karen made an error, it was on a crucial point. Like, you can be happy when you are doing well on court. He was just upset that he was losing, which I understand, but it wasn’t anyone’s fault but his own🤷🏻♂️
