Yup...what timing. Kyuho came down with shingles about a week ago now, and ohh man, he's been having a pretty rough go of it. We've still been laying low here in Seoul, spending most of our time in our apartment with Beemo.

I had shingles when I was pregnant. The doctors were all called in to look at me because they had not seen a pregnant woman with shingles before. Also this proved I had chicken pox which I never knew. Being pregnant i could only take Tylenol. I spent two weeks in pain like some one was cutting me. Be so glad you could take medication and this too will pass. If you are stressed or run down shingles can occur. Love the new sunny place 💕

I've had it (shingles). I know it can be pretty painful (muscle pains). There's not a lot you can do about it except take medication, get a lot of rest, and wait for your body to heal. Get well soon. God bless!

Ahh !! Poor guy. My dad has had shingles a couple of times and he was really miserable with them. I hope it clears up quickly. I had the chicken pox when I was 3, and I had it everywhere externally, and have multiple scars from it.

Oh my, my ex had shingles too, I made him ate VITAMIN-B capsules, apart from the medicines and creams he got and it helped quicken up the healing time! I highly recommend it again! Hope it gets better soon!!

Oh man, I'm so sorry Kyuho. It's all the stress. You guys moved which is always stressful even if everything goes smoothly. And then all this virus stuff. Just rest. I've absolutely slept thru entire days bc the pain was too much, so don't feel bad if you need to. You've got Sarah too take care of you. I'm so thankful you guys got into that bigger apart right before all this went down. It's gotta be much nicer to have all that space if you have to be stuck at home. It is getting real in LA... Never seen the streets so empty before. It's pretty eerie. I still have to go to work since I work in healthcare, but hey, traffic is great. I got chickenpox when I was in the sixth grade. One person got it and it just spread like crazy for those who didn't get it when they were younger. I hope Kyuho feels better soon! It can take a couple of weeks for the rash to heal. Stay safe guys!

I hope you feeling better with the shingles. I’ve had chicken pox as a kid and then at age 28 I got shingles but mild version on my side of body, and it cleared up and didn’t scar. My dad had very bad case of shingles in his later life in his 60’s. All over his head and face and was very painful and made him feel so unwell. It healed okay. Keep safe and well 🙏🏻 We are all isolating ourselves here in the Uk now to.

So glad Kyuho is feeling better! I had shingles when I was 25. I know I had chickpox when I was very young but dont remember having it. My naturopath treated my shingles and it cleared up quite easily, once I saw him. I went around feeling this pain in my back and couldn't figure what was going on. My doctor said it probably was from extreme stress, which I was experiencing. You guys look so much happier in your new home:) On Oahu where Im from I cant even go out walking without coming across people, at least in my neighborhood which is densely populated like most of Oahu. I haven't been wearing a mask when Im out and am praying I have not been exposed especially because I have an elderly parent.

I had shingles in my armpit and on my shoulder when I was 23. It was so incredibly painful, I had to go to Urgent Care on Christmas day bc I couldn't stand it. The scar went away after a few years even without any treatment. Hope your feeling better! The anti-viral meds worked really quickly for me.

Oh my gosh! Kyuho! I’m so sorry that you have the shingles, and that you’re in so much pain! My mother-in-law has had them multiple times, and she always compares it, to being poked with a needle or a shard of glass. I truly hope you feel better soon! I’m glad that you’re both staying safe. In light of everything that’s happening in our world, being stuck indoors-practicing social distancing-I think it’s so important to have that brightness in your living area. I had the chicken pox when I was really little and when I got older and went ahead and got the shingles vaccine because I knew that I didn't want to get it especially when I was older (which happened to a parent). I hope Kyuho feels better soon! I still love how your new apartment is turning out!

Oh Kyuho, I feel so sorry for you. My husband had it the beginning of this year around his waist and hips. He hurt so bad. I used Benaydral Anti itch Cream to keep him from scratching. Be sure to wear gloves when touching other areas of your body so it does not spread. My husband and I both hope you feel better soon because he can relate to what you are feeling.😫

I had the chicken pox when I was one, had shingles when I was 9. It was pretty painful and itchy but thank god I got it on the side of my hip area rather than my face. I had some discoloration but it went away after a few years. Feel better!!

I get cold sores very often on my lips and surrounding my mouth and sometimes they get so bad that I can get them in my nose. I've had them since i was young I've never had the shingles but i can imagine the pain. Sorry you are going through that and hopefully the scar isnt noticeable. We are in the state of Oklahoma and are practicing social distancing as well, thankfully we were able to go to a large warehouse similar to Costco the first of the month and were able to get most supplies. We also live near many hiking trails and creeks so we are able to get in excersize. It is me, my 3 kids and my beautiful border collie Molly girl. But unfortunately my husband is deployed in a country that is dealing with the Coronavirus pretty bad and is not able to communicate with us so it's very stressful to be in this situation and not know what will happen in the near future. However the outdoor activity and the sunshine and fresh air is very important to keep a positive attitude and keep myself from going CRAZY 😆 my kids are 6, 4 and 2 so I'm sure that its inevitable I might go through at least one mental breakdown 🤪

I hear shingles can be extremely painful. Hope Kyuho's on the mend quickly! I never had the chicken pox, but got the varicella vaccine back in my college days to volunteer at a hospital. Not sure if I still have the antibodies anymore, though, since it's been a long time.

Chicken pox at 14yo. 2 scars up on my right brow. As a nurse I will say colloïd dressing for the scars. And cicaplast from la roche posay cream too. And a cream to smooth the skin.

They have declared a state of emergency in Nova Scotia now. Yesterday was the first day when my husband and I got out in the fresh air, besides for work. I had the chicken pox when I was in elementary. Maybe grade 1 or 2? I feel most people have them when they are usually in that age range, atleast when I was in those grades in the early 90s.

I wish we still had public transport, they banned it all across our country 2 weeks ago in hopes of preventing the spread of the virus. I'm glad in Seoul you can still take it. It's terrible for people who don't own a car because taxis are very very expensive here. And that message that sbd left for you under the plate was so lovely I got a little tear in my eye. Apparently the number of people using public transportation has dropped quite a bit. A week or so ago, it was reported that people infected with the virus kept going to work for the full week via the subway, and likely infected others on the trip :/ That message about the cat seriously made our day 😭❤️

I had chicken pox really early,I think I was 7 or 8,but shingles are not really common in my country,not since the '80s.. so I can't really relate,but I bet its really painful and annoying,hope you feel better soon,pozdrav iz Hrvatske! ohhhh so sorry Kyuho! hope you're feeling better. ask your doctor if you can take vitamins and use talc with menthol (not sure how to translate it) to alleviate the itchiness. Sarah, I remember I had an eruptive when I was little (my little brother caught it and then my mom too)... but I can't remember the age nor if it was smallpox or chickenpox here in Argentina we've been in mandatory isolation since March 20th. I've not left my apartment since March 14th as we've been working from home 100% (I work in IT, so I'm super lucky that I can continue working "normally"). I have to go outside to throw away trash and to buy food. I have sensitive lungs so I'm a bit preoccupied. people are still having a hard time taking this seriously. I'm happy that both of you have a bigger apartment to spend your days inside more comfortably. it looks so cozy and pretty! also- got a bit emotional with the message on the plate and the blossoms spring is the yearly reminder that no matter how hard the winter is, life always recovers and starts over 🌸💖

I had chickenpox in 1st grade and have had shingles twice as an adult. I got mine right next to my right eye both times and it actually infected my eye and my sight was blurry in that eye for about a week both times. I have had the vaccination every year since the last time and haven’t had another infection. I hope you feel better very soon.

Take care guys, we have been in isolation in Toronto too since last week. It’s getting serious here in Canada now. School will be closed for 2 weeks after last week’s March break. But they were thinking of closing school for the remainder of the year. We’ve heard that China and Korea seemed to have the issue under control now but not sure how much validity coming from the media.
