When I first heard they were remaking treasure island 1 again i wasn't excited because they already made the perfect remake in 2020 but this is a whole new take on treasure island

⁠​⁠@Hidden0813 there’s like a crap ton of different official versions alone, like the one radiance made is technically considered 6.0 since it was the 6th official version made since it had 5 different versions (some of which had different major versions within each version) before hand with various different teams working on it before Radiance finish it. Radiance version of it isn’t even the final version of treasure island since they’re remaking it again cuz they apparently hate the official version they made back in 2020 with a burning passion. This 10 year anniversary gift radiance did makes me excited to see the actual final official version of treasure island they’re cooking up.

Little fun facts and lore since this game is not very good at conveying it: - This game is basically a sort of "alternate universe" canon game in the Treasure Island universe - Apparently, according to the Night 5 newspaper (I don't know they found it) the Mickey costume you meet in Pirate Catacombs is the reanimated Craig (the guy in the first phone call) - Every single enemy in the game are "remastered" versions of the original designs for iconic Treasure Island characters - The headless body is Harvey Grovel - The untitled .txt files are where they keep the "lore" of the game as well as the in-universe lore of the creators of the game - Can't recommend Oblitus Casa enough (also its prequel, Treasure Island when the remaster comes out next year)

this isn't an alternate universe, it's an actual video game in the treasure island timeline (most likely made after the events of casa) the in-universe lead developer of the game, as hinted in the txt files, appears to have found some confidential info relating to what happened with jake and is using that info to help make the game "more accurate" without telling the rest of the team about it however they don't fully understand what they're seeing, which is why some glaring inaccuracies are cropping up (like the toons being haunted suits, jake killing everyone else, donald having a body, etc) the game itself is canonically unfinished, which is why certain things have debug keys for progression (which IS completely intentional)
